The Oasis Case Plus+ humidifier uses the same evaporative membrane as the Oasis Plus+ humidifier, providing 50% more daily humidity supply than the Oasis Case humidifier.

This humidifier is designed for use in drier environments where the relative humidity is below 25%. The Oasis Case Plus+ humidifier, like the Oasis Case humidifier, uses two powerful small magnets, which are embedded in the seam of the humidifier, to attach to either a small sticky backed piece of stainless steel or a metal clip (both are provided with the humidifier).

The Oasis Case Plus+ humidifier can be used in woodwind and stringed instrument cases such as clarinet, violin, cello, guitar or mandolin.

*Even at the comparatively low strength we use, these neodymium magnets are extremely powerful. We have noticed during the manufacturing process that an individual magnet, located 8-10" from a stack of magnets, will be so powerfully attracted to the other magnets that it will fly across the table to make contact. At times, it will do so with such force that the magnet will break.

We have found that the best way to control the force of the magnets is to make contact with the metal clip or plate by sliding the humidifier on or off in the same plane as the direction of the clip or plate. In more visual terms, this is like the difference between landing an airplane vs. a helicopter. The humidifier should be attached or removed

by sliding it into position from one end or the other (the same way an airplane would land or take off) and not with a direct drop in (the way a helicopter takes off or lands). This approach has two advantages. First, it dramatically reduces any risk of breaking a magnet. Secondly, it reduces stress on the seam of the humidifier (where the magnets are located) extending the useful life of the humidifier.

** In our testing, we have found that the stainless steel strip can be removed from the case without the adhesive backing leaving a sticky residue or damaging the case. We cannot guarantee that this will be the situation with every case, but it worked on several of the cases we tested.
